Continental Divide Trail

We originally scheduled to Southbound thru-hike the CDT in 2020 but Covid-19 got in the way of everyone’s plans. After much deliberating, we decided the best way to be conscious of our impact on the vulnerable populations of trail towns while still working towards our dream of finishing the Triple Crown was to self-support our hike with two vehicles to carry most resupply items we’d need and shuttle ourselves from point to point along the trail.

To accommodate the extra time required for shuttling, we chose to hike the CDT over two years: 2020 and 2021. We’re pretty stoked about this decision because it allows for more zero days and shorter distances per day. Click here to access our *PREHIKE* CDT Planning Document for the northern half of the CDT. We’ll update any changes when we get done in October.
