Appalachian Trail

We completed a southbound thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail in 2007 – before smart phones existed and at the cusp of the UL gear revolution. We traveled light-ish and managed to finish in 4.5 months hiking an average of 20-25 miles a day.

One thing that made our hike special was that it was our HONEYMOON! Another thing that made it special is that my brother, a web developer, created us a website where we could send text messages to post daily updates to our blog! This was HUGE in 2007 BTW…

The most UN-special thing about it, however, was that our website was LOST along with all our daily posts due to a misunderstanding. It is sad, but such is life. So, instead of sharing our delightful tales of joy and struggle on the Appalachian Trail, we can link you to our photo galleries (taken with now-ancient digital camera) for your perusal should you like!
