We put our house on the market last week. We were nervous because the real estate market has been “balancing out,” so we were DELIGHTED when we got a full asking price offer within 24 hours. We were so relieved to have one less thing to worry about in our hiatus preparations.
However, we hit a snag one week later when the buyers decided they didn’t like our neighbor’s dog and backed out…super huge disappointment. SUPER!
So, the lesson is…just go with the flow. This is very difficult for a planner like myself, but I’m extending this lesson to my itinerary planning for phase one. I’ve been super hard on myself about not having found the time to plan everything yet – but stuff is going to happen and we need to be flexible! Therefore, we have stopped at five weeks out. We’ve gotten our daily planning done through Wyoming and we feel good about that! This planning essentially includes a variety of potential activities and places to stay for each night, in addition to accounting for the other sundry issues of living in a camper (laundry, tank dumping, etc.).
The Phase One Itinerary page has been updated to reflect our new plans! Check them out. If you’re on our route, give us a shout out! We’d love to stop in :).
Also, tell all your friends there is a beautiful 1920 Tudor for sale in East Nashville!
