Woke up without an alarm with a simple breakfast, lunch packing, and prepping for the chock full day.
First, we explored City Hall and climbed the 400 step tower for excellent views of the city before stopping in at the cheesy, but cool Hans Christian Anderson Fairy Tale Museum.
Next we ate our picnic sammies on some benches en route to the National Museum of Denmark for a history lesson, then on to the Christiansburg Castle complex, which houses several museums: The Royal Stables, The Reception Rooms, and the Ruins, where we learned about how the darn castle just kept burning down.
After all that actual history, we needed a break, so we took a bus to the Carlsberg Brewery for some beer history (and beers). Luckily for us, we discovered they offer a free shuttle (a double decker bus where we got the top front seats) back to the city just in time to drop us exactly at our next stop: Tivoli Gardens!
Y’all know I don’t ever miss an opportunity at giant swings… But we also did the Fun House! After some rides and very strange live pantomime performances, we stopped for dinner on the way back to the flat for a good night’s sleep!
